Code of Conduct

1The All Nations Football League (ANFL) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone involved. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected from all participants.

This Code applies to:

  • Players

  • Coaches and managers

  • Match officials

  • League committee members

  • Volunteers

  • Spectators and supporters

It covers all league-related activities including matches, training, events, and online conduct (including social media).

All participants are expected to uphold: Respect – for teammates, opponents, officials, and the league. Integrity – honesty and fair play at all times. Inclusivity – welcoming and valuing all individuals. Accountability – taking responsibility for actions and behaviour

Expected Standards of Behaviour

All participants must:

  • Treat everyone with dignity and respect

  • Play and promote fair play at all times

  • Accept match officials’ decisions without abuse or dissent

  • Communicate respectfully, including on social media

  • Support a positive and inclusive environment

  • Follow league rules, policies, and decisions

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following will not be tolerated:

  • Abuse of match officials (verbal or physical)

  • Aggressive or violent conduct

  • Bullying, harassment, or intimidation

  • Discriminatory language or behaviour (including racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic abuse)

  • Threatening behaviour or actions

  • Bringing the league into disrepute (including online)

  • Persistent dissent or unsporting conduct

Social Media Conduct

Participants must: Avoid posting abusive, offensive, or discriminatory content, Not publicly criticise or undermine the league, officials, or participants in a harmful way and Use social platforms responsibly, recognising their role in representing the league

Responsibilities by Role

Players

  • Play within the rules and spirit of the game

  • Show respect to all participants

  • Control emotions and behaviour

Managers & Coaches

  • Lead by example

  • Promote respect and discipline within teams

  • Address poor behaviour immediately

Match Officials

  • Officiate fairly and consistently

  • Treat all participants with respect

Spectators

  • Support positively

  • Not engage in abuse, harassment, or discrimination

Breaches of the Code

Any breach of this Code may result in disciplinary action.

Sanctions may include:

  • Verbal or written warnings

  • Match bans or suspensions

  • Fines (if applicable)

  • Removal from the league

  • Referral to governing bodies

Serious incidents may result in immediate suspension pending investigation.

Reporting Concerns

Concerns or breaches should be reported to the league committee. All reports will be: Taken seriously, Handled fairly and confidentially and Investigated promptly.

By participating in the All Nations Football League, all individuals agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and uphold the values of the league. This Code will be reviewed regularly to ensure it remains effective and relevant.
